[edit] RACENAME

[edit] Definition

The "RACENAME" is an alphanumber string (usually composed of driver name, surname and nationality) necessary for the rLeague system to link the drivers on the rLeague database with the data automatically provided by the racing servers.

The system, at the moment when it receives some new race data (either of Training Events and Official events) put in to "join" the name present on the racing server export with those ones on the rLeague database and, if it finds them corresponding, it puts them together.

That’s why it’s fundamental that every new rLeague registered driver provides, after his registration c/o the website, to check his own RACENAME c/o his own "Private Area" to set it on his own rFactor copy as a name of the "in-use" player name.

[edit] Setting the RACENAME on your own rFactor

To set the rLeague RACENAME on your own rFactor copy it’s necessary to take note of the RACENAME (exactly as it’s written c/o your own "Privare Area", including capital and small letters) and, after having set rFactor, to provide for creating a new game profile, calling it EXACTLY with the RACENAME automatically supplied by rLeague.

[edit] Shorter Way to configure your RACENAME

To shortly configure your RACENAME, mainly if you just have a player profile configured in your game, do that:

  • go to "$rfactordirectory$\UserData";
  • find the folder named like your previously configured player;
  • made a backup copy of that folder;
  • access the folder and find previously configured player ".PLR" file;
  • rename this file with rLeague RACENAME string;
  • back to "UserData" folder;
  • rename previously configured player folder with with rLeague RACENAME string.

Launch the game to verify correct username settings.

[edit] Testing the right working of your own RACENAME

After having provided to set your own RACENAME on your rFactor copy, it’s sufficient to link up to any of Training Events session care of the rLeague racing servers, to provide for having some laps and, at the end of session, take a look to this report: if everything is in place, the just placed laps will be shown.

[edit] "What, if I don't do that?"

Drivers that will take part to official League Races with erroneous RACENAME will take -150pts on DLi. No duties in training events patecipations.
